The Annual African Conference of Monitoring and Evaluation (AAFCME) is a pan-African professional platform for monitoring and evaluation scholars, students, professionals and policy makers devoted to the promotion of monitoring and evaluation practice and scholarship in Africa. We are committed to making monitoring and evaluation work for Africa.

AAFCME exits to promote monitoring and research, scholarship and practice in Africa through strategic conferencing, publications, seminars and webinars, competency and skills based professional development through certifications, publications and M&E policy advocacy. We are committed to inclusive and participatory scholarly and professional engagements that expand the space for Africa’s M&E scholars, students, policy leaders and practitioners and thought leaders.

AAFCME collaborates with higher and tertiary learning institutions, evaluation associations, national and sub-national governments, non-governmental and civil society organizations, bilateral organizations, the private sector, research institutes, student led monitoring and evaluation clubs and evaluation thought leaders.  AAFCME brings together monitoring and evaluation professionals from diverse backgrounds and specialties. Through our diverse membership, communities, and partnerships, AAFCME creates collaboration opportunities that advance the field of monitoring and evaluation in Africa.

ABOUT THE 1ST ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Are M&E policies, systems, education and training working for Africa?  What is the evidence? Are policies, programs, projects and related interventions in Africa delivering value?  Are our M&E policies, systems, education and trainings effective and effective in addressing the continent’s complex “wicked problems’? The 1st Annual Conference in Kisumu City, Kenya from 26th– 28th April 2023, will interrogate these issues.
